Petition
2006 New Hampshire View Tax
We, the taxpayers of New Hampshire, request that ourelected officials do away with the “View Tax”.
The View Tax is subjective, inconsistent and the State hasno definition of what a view is. Furthermore, theview does not belong to the property owner and the owner has no control over said view.
We also request the NH Legislature, Senate andGovernor to pass a law this year that requires state, municipal, and town Assessors in NH doing any type ofproperty appraisal, including mass appraisals, to belicensed by the State of NH in order to hold themaccountable. Every NH Taxpayer must be assured thattheir largest single asset, their home, buildings andproperty, are being assessed in a fair and equitablemanner and it must be transparent to all taxpayers.
We ask every elected official in New Hampshire to workto resolve the above issues for our hard working taxpayers.
